Like most Surveyors, we have a keen interest in history and collect some interesting survey pieces along the way. This is The Willis Standard Levelling Instrument, which is a vintage survey level used to determine relative heights and establish horizontal planes in construction and land surveying. It was manufactured by Willis Industrial Supplies in Melbourne in the 1960’s and was popular in the construction industry due to its reliability and affordability.
