Nicholas Johnstone started with DSQ in February of this year and is currently studying Surveying at USQ. In Nic’s time with DSQ, he has embraced the safety culture and innovative way we approach safety.
Whilst completing a vehicle pre-start Nic identified the potential for manual handling injuries when lifting and closing the bonnet and suggested installing gas struts to assist with this task, while reducing the opportunity for injury. As a safety focused business DSQ management approved the purchase and installation of this innovation, and the entire Chinchilla fleet will have these retrofitted within 6 weeks of the initial suggestion from Nic.
Great work Nic, we look forward to hearing what other ideas you bring to DSQ.
